Hamilton Takes Pole For Italian GP After Breaking Monza Lap Record


Lewis Hamilton has taken pole position for the 2020 Italian Grand Prix after breaking the Monza lap record in the final part of qualifying.



Teammate Valtteri Bottas will start the race in second place, while Mclaren driver Carlos Sainz will line up in P3.

Mexican driver Sergio Perez put in a stellar lap to get his Racing Point on the second row of the grid.



Max Verstappen could only manage fifth on the grid, just ahead of Lando Norris on the third row of the grid.



Daniel Ricciardo , Lance Stroll, Alex Albon and Pierre Gasly round out the top ten.



Both Ferraris failed to make it into Q3 at their home race for the first time since 1984.



Sebastian Vettel will start the Italian Grand Prix 17 th on the grid, and Charles Leclerc will line up in P13.
