He initially planned to serve as Red Bull’s reserve driver throughout 2020 while also competing in the Super Formula series, but the opening rounds were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
And now, due to him having to quarantine when he travels abroad, Camara has decided to stay in Japan and focus entirely on the Super Formula series.
This has paved the way for Sebastian Buemi to return to Red Bull, with the Swiss driver now set to replace Camara as the Milton Keynes-based team’s reserve driver.
