Frank Lampard Tips This Chelsea Attacker To Be A ‘Huge Player’ In The Premier League


Timo Werner has certainly impressed in the few months he has been playing for Chelsea after joining the Premier League side from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window.



However, the pacey attacker has missed several chances which he should have converted, prompting criticism from some fans.

However, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has insisted that he believes Werner will be a “huge player” in the Premier League and has already had an impact.



“I’ve got no worries about Timo. He’s come into this league and made a big impact straight away,” Lampard said.



“His speed, direct nature, things he creates for the team, the fact that he’s getting lots of chances and makes lot of chances through his explosive nature and desire to be in the right areas.



“And that I love. I’ve got no worries about him. Timo’s going to be a huge player for this club,” the Chelsea coach added.



“He’s scored some goals already, of course he’ll want to be scoring more and he’s missed a couple. But he’ll keep getting there and he’ll score those goals.”



Since joining Chelsea from RB Leipzig, Timo Werner has bagged four goals and four assists for the London-based club.
