Formula One Ratifies 23-Race Calendar For 2021 Season

Formula One has ratified its record-breaking 23-race calendar for the 2021 season, though some grand prix are still pending confirmation.

If things go according to plan, the 2021 F1 season will get underway in Melbourne on 21 March, before ending in Abu Dhabi in early December.

Many races which were cancelled this year due to the global COVID-19 pandemic will return in 2021 as the calendar follows its more traditional structure.

It’s unclear where we will be racing on 25 April, as Formula One is yet to confirm the details of the fourth grand prix of the season, though it has been speculated we could return to Portimao or Mugello for this event.

The 2021 Spanish Grand Prix is scheduled to take place on 9 May, but this will be contingent on Formula One agreeing a new deal with the promoter in time.

Meanwhile, the inaugural Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, which is set to be the penultimate race of 2021, will go ahead subject to track homologation.
