Kimi Raikkonen selling custom Ferrari for €1.8 million

Kimi Raikkonen, who recently retired from Formula 1 after almost two decades in the pinnacle of motorsport, has listed a Ferrari supercar for sale.

The car in question – a Ferrari F12tdf (Tour de France) – is being sold via a Switzerland-based car dealer for approximately €1.8 million.

The tdf is a limited-edition, track-focused version of the standard Ferrari F12, and just 799 were made.

Its V12 engine produces 770bhp, giving it a 0-100kph time of 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 211mph.

They were initially sold at a price point of circa €550,000 when the car was unveiled some six years ago, but like many limited-edition cars, its price has appreciated considerably in the secondary market.

And, when you consider the fact that this particular Ferrari F12tdf was owned by Raikkonen – the last driver to win a Formula 1 championship for the Scuderia – it’s not difficult to justify its €1.8 million price tag.

Furthermore, according to Swiss auto-dealer Car Star AG, it has a one-off paintjob to match the colour of Raikkonen’s championship-winning Ferrari F2007.

Raikkonen raced with Ferrari from 2007 until 2009, before re-joining the Scuderia in 2014 and subsequently departing the team at the end of the 2018 season for Alfa Romeo.

He raced with Alfa Romeo for three years, before eventually retiring from Formula 1 for good in December.
