2025 Miami GP start time and full grid positions

Following a chaotic and eventful Saturday at the Miami International Autodrome, the starting grid for Sunday’s race has been locked in. Max Verstappen will lead the field from pole position, rebounding strongly after a troubled sprint race.

From Sprint Disaster to Qualifying Triumph

Verstappen had a sprint to forget after incurring a penalty due to a pit lane collision with Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli. The contact, deemed an unsafe release, not only damaged his car but also dropped him to the back of the field. However, Verstappen responded with characteristic grit in qualifying, posting a 1:26.204 to secure his third pole of the season.

Joining him on the front row is McLaren’s Lando Norris, just 0.065s behind. Kimi Antonelli, showing impressive pace throughout the weekend, will start third, narrowly missing out on the front row by just two-thousandths of a second.

McLaren and Mercedes Challenge Red Bull

Oscar Piastri lines up fourth, making it two McLarens in the top four, while George Russell sits fifth for Mercedes. Williams continued to show strong pace, with Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon placing sixth and seventh respectively.

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc managed eighth while Esteban Ocon and Yuki Tsunoda completed the top ten.

Notably, Lewis Hamilton starts down in 12th after failing to progress past Q2, in what has been a tough weekend for the Ferrari driver.
