Liam Lawson Wants Isack Hadjar to Join Max Verstappen at Red Bull

Formula 1 rookie Isack Hadjar is being tipped for a potential Red Bull seat next season, with fellow driver Liam Lawson declaring him “ready” for the challenge.

Hadjar has impressed in his first year, culminating in a podium finish at last month’s Dutch Grand Prix.

Lawson Offers Praise

Lawson, who briefly raced for Red Bull earlier this season, has been closely matched against Hadjar since returning to Faenza.

“He’s done a very good job this year,” Lawson said. “To have a podium this season is pretty spectacular. He’s doing a really great job. In some ways, I think a lot of drivers always feel ready for another step. He’s doing all the right things right now.”

Red Bull Seat a Big Challenge

Red Bull’s second car has long been regarded as difficult to master, with several of Max Verstappen’s teammates struggling to adapt in recent years.

Lawson acknowledged that this could pose an obstacle for Hadjar, but he maintained that the 20-year-old Frenchman is equipped for the challenge.

“It depends on what position the car is in next year, how it is to drive,” Lawson explained. “That’s probably the biggest thing about that seat right now. So there are a lot of variables there. As a driver, he’s ready. If you’re ready to be in F1 in the first place, I think you’d be ready for that kind of position.”

Future in Red Bull’s Hands

With major regulation changes set to shake up the grid next year, Red Bull’s driver choices are under intense scrutiny.

Hadjar’s rookie performances, combined with Lawson’s endorsement, have fueled speculation that Red Bull may take the gamble.

Whether Hadjar gets the nod remains uncertain, but his rapid rise has put him firmly in contention.
