How Many F1 Races Are Left: Full 2026 Formula 1 Calendar

Formula 1 teams are completing pre-season testing in Bahrain and attention is now turning toward the longest campaign in the sport’s history.

The 2026 FIA Formula One World Championship will feature 24 races , matching the record-length schedules of recent years and stretching from early March to early December.

Because the season has not yet started, all 24 races remain to be run , beginning with the Australian Grand Prix and concluding with the traditional finale in Abu Dhabi.

The calendar once again spans five continents, combining historic venues such as Monaco, Silverstone and Monza with modern events including Miami, Las Vegas and Qatar.

A season shaped by regulation change

The 2026 championship is especially significant because it introduces brand-new power unit regulations and revised chassis concepts designed to improve efficiency and racing.

With sweeping technical changes arriving at once, pre-season expectations are unusually uncertain.

Teams are entering the opening rounds without a clear competitive hierarchy, meaning the early flyaway races in Australia, China and Japan could heavily influence momentum.

The calendar structure also reflects logistical adjustments introduced in recent seasons, grouping races geographically where possible to reduce travel and freight impact.

Early flyaway races

The campaign opens in Melbourne on 8 March before moving immediately across Asia and the Middle East.

These opening rounds are often unpredictable due to varying track characteristics — from street circuits to high-speed layouts — making them crucial for understanding the new generation of cars.

European summer and title run-in

The European leg begins in Monaco in June and runs through classic venues including Austria, Britain, Belgium and Italy.

After the summer break, the championship enters its decisive phase with a dense run of races across Asia and the Americas before the finale in Abu Dhabi on 6 December.

A long closing stretch — including the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Las Vegas and Qatar — means championships can still change hands late in the year.

How many races are left?

With 24 races across nine months, consistency rather than outright speed often decides championships in modern Formula 1.

Reliability, strategy and driver endurance will be as important as raw performance — particularly in the intense final quarter of the year.

For now, though, the championship table remains empty.

Every point, victory and rivalry still lies ahead, with the 2026 season ready to begin its long journey from Melbourne to Yas Marina.
