Las Vegas Grand Prix Secures Stunning 10-Year Extension Through 2037
Formula 1 and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority have agreed a landmark 10-year extension that will keep the Las Vegas Grand Prix on the calendar through at least 2037.
The extension is set to begin in 2028, picking up seamlessly after the current agreement’s remaining two years have been completed.
As part of the new deal, F1 will receive $10 million per year in event sponsorship, totalling a remarkable $100 million across the full term of the agreement.
The Las Vegas Grand Prix first arrived on the Formula 1 calendar in 2023 amid enormous global fanfare, and it has grown rapidly into one of the sport’s most high-profile events.
F1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali expressed his enthusiasm for the renewed commitment, highlighting the race’s rapid rise to prominence on the world stage.
Domenicali said: “Since its debut in 2023, the event has been extraordinary, rapidly establishing itself as a premier destination for great racing, world-class entertainment, global business leaders, A-list celebrities and influencers.”
He added: “It has delivered a strong and lasting impact on the local economy and community. We always believed that Las Vegas would become a cornerstone of our presence in the United States, and this extension, together with the success of recent years, reinforces our long-term commitment to this important market.”
Las Vegas Grand Prix CEO Emily Prazer confirmed that the long-term deal will now unlock significant investment into local infrastructure around the circuit.
Prazer told the Review-Journal: “We need to make some investments not only on our land, but it’s been quite well talked about that we want to make some investments on Las Vegas Boulevard to be able to improve the infrastructure and therefore reduce the build times – particularly around things like temporary power and lighting, which are the two big reasons why things take a little bit longer to be installed.”
Those infrastructure improvements are expected to streamline the race weekend setup process considerably, reducing the logistical burden that has surrounded the event each year.
The 2026 Las Vegas Grand Prix is scheduled to take place from November 19 through November 21, with the iconic Strip circuit once again set to dazzle fans worldwide.
The agreement underlines Formula 1’s long-term commitment to growing its footprint in the United States, where the sport now also holds races in Miami and Austin.
