Mercedes Poke Fun At Kim Kardashian After Monaco Towel Controversy Goes Viral

Kim Kardashian’s Formula 1 paddock debut at the Monaco Grand Prix has sparked widespread social media attention after footage of an awkward incident went viral.
The reality TV star and businesswoman made her first appearance in the F1 paddock alongside her sister Khloe to support Lewis Hamilton at the prestigious street circuit race.
Hamilton and Kardashian have been the subject of relationship rumours since before the start of the 2026 season, with the pair spotted together on multiple occasions around the world.
The couple were first reported to have enjoyed a private weekend together at a high-end hotel in the Cotswolds before making their first public appearance at Super Bowl LX in February.
Hamilton delivered a strong result at Monaco, taking his second consecutive P2 finish of the season, and was filmed planting a kiss on Kardashian’s cheek after the race.
However, it was not just the kiss that caught the internet’s attention, as separate footage of Kardashian’s paddock behaviour quickly began circulating across social media platforms.
In a video posted on X, Kardashian could be seen picking up Kimi Antonelli’s towel from his P1 plinth following the race, walking away while wiping her face with it.
The clip drew significant backlash online, with many accusing her of taking the towel from the 19-year-old championship leader without permission.
Mercedes wasted no time in responding with characteristic humour, posting a light-hearted video to their social media accounts featuring both Antonelli and teammate George Russell playing along with the joke.
The clip began with a puzzled Antonelli asking the camera: “I was wondering, have you seen my towel?” before Russell confirmed he had not found it either.
Mercedes then completed the comedic bit by filming Antonelli washing his hands only to find himself with nothing to dry them on, a clear nod to Kardashian’s trackside antics.
Kardashian’s visit to Monaco also attracted attention for another reason, as she was among those who appeared to snub Martin Brundle during his traditional pre-race grid walk.
The combination of incidents ensured that Kardashian’s paddock debut became one of the most talked-about stories to emerge from the Monaco weekend beyond the racing itself.
